About Bikes 4 School
The Bikes 4 School scheme was setup as a reaction to the increased concerns about children's health and their lack of exercise.
By providing an incentive to purchase affordable kids' bikes, as well as bikes for parents and teachers, we help to encourage cycling amongst youngsters. Initiatives by Sustrans such as 'Safe Routes to schools' and 'Bike It' provide further support and information to get more kids cycling.
At the same time, the Bikes4School scheme provides schools with a cash incentive. We pay schools a percentage of the value of the cycling equipment purchased through the scheme. Schools can use this money as they like to further improve the educational experience of children. For example, schools can use the extra income to improve cycle facilities at the school such as secure bike storage or for cycle training.
The scheme is an initiative from Wheelies Direct Cycle Solutions. We have been in the cycling business since 1989
running bicycle shops and online cycle sales, bicycle replacement for national insurance companies, Cycle to Work Schemes, Affinity Discount Schemes and Corporate Sales.
